Tour of Denmark 2022 – Stage 4 – Skive – Skive : 167,3 km
The PostNord Danmark Rundt is Denmark’s flagship stage-race and an opportunity for the nation to showcase its wonderful homegrown talent. With the rapid globalisation of cycling over the last decade, many races are starting to see new, dominant nations emerge in their lists of winners. The same can’t be said for the Tour of Denmark however, if anything the home nation have become even more imperious over the last seven editions, taking five overall wins with four different riders.
Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) took his seventh win of the 2022 season in Skive, beating Sasha Weemaes (Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise) and Ethan Vernon (QuickStep-AlphaVinyl) to the line on stage 4 of the Tour of Denmark.
Magnus Sheffield (Ineos Grenadiers) finished safely in the peloton to continue in the race lead ahead of Saturday’s hilly final stage in Vejle. Christophe Laporte (Jumbo-Visma) lies in second place on the same time.
