Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – Track Cycling – Day 6
Track cycling, along with its sister discipline road racing, made its first appearance at the Olympic Games in 1896 – the year that the modern Olympic movement was born. This makes it one of the oldest and most traditional sports at the 2020 Games in Tokyo. The Olympic track cycling events will all take place at the Izu Velodrome, a 250m-long indoor wooden track in Shizuoka, Japan. The events for both men and women are split into two distinct categories, Sprint Events and Endurance Events.
