Classic Grand Besançon Doubs 2023 – Besançon – Montfaucon : 169,6 km
The Classic Grand Besançon Doubs is a one-day race held in eastern France that sees domestic riders go toe-to-toe with WorldTour pros over a hilly course around the city of Besançon. The race is a relatively new addition to cycling’s annual calendar, having hosted its first edition in 2021. Its lack of history hasn’t stopped it from attracting world-class riders to its startline, however. This year, the Classic Grand Besançon will take place in mid-April, as opposed to early September like it did in 2021, and see the riders tackle a slightly altered route that finishes in Montfaucon rather than Marchaux.
