Track Cycling – European Championship 2020 – DAY 4
The 2020 UEC European Track Championships is the eleventh edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and will take place at the Kolodruma in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, between 11 and 15 November 2020. The event is organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions are awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which may be worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions.
For the first time Bulgaria will host the European Track Cycling Championship. The competition will take place from 11 to 15 November 2020 and due to the epidemiological situation, the public will not be allowed.
A very strong participation is expected in the race, as it is the last test for the competitors before the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. More than 200 competitors from 22 countries will take part in 11 disciplines for men and women, respectively: sprint; keirin; team sprint; 1 km on site (1 km tt) / 500 m on site (500 m TT) – for women; team pursuit 4 km; individual pursuit 4 km / individual pursuit 3 km – for women; point race; scratch race; madison; omnium and elimination race.
