MTB – XCM – World Cup 2023 – 2 – Finale Outdoor Region, Italy
As the name suggests, cross-country marathon is a much longer effort than the cross-country formats we’ve described so far. The courses are around 100km in length, making this a real test of riders’ endurance and race craft. With courses that can take in a huge variety of different terrains and sections over the long distance, riders need to adapt their technique to cope with the different challenges, as well as use their tactical skills to position themselves correctly and know when to attack in a fast-moving pack.
