MTB Hero Series 2024 – 2 – Bmw Hero Südtirol Dolomites – Dolomites Val Gardena – Italy 🇮🇹 : 86 km
The 2024 HERO Series kicks off from the summits of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world. Aspiring Titan HEROes will have to face this first, great challenge by competing on the 86 km and 4,200 hm course on the Sella massif. Cyclists will have to tackle demanding climbs, technical downhills, and different types of terrain across the four Ladin valleys of the Sellaronda and the Seiser Alm. A challenge which will push all participants, amateurs and pros alike, to their limits – a veritable test of their mental and physical stamina, the hallmarks of true heroes!
The BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites takes place in Selva Val Gardena, in South Tyrol, Italy’s northernmost province. The Val Gardena valley is an internationally renowned ski, bike and trekking area surrounded by the spectacular Dolomites rock towers, a UNESCO World Heritage since 2009. The famous alpinist Reinhold Messner once said: “The Dolomites are not the highest mountains in the world, but definitely the most beautiful ones.”
