Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships 2022 XCE – Barcelona
Since 2019, the UCI has hosted the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships to determine the world champions in the Cross-country Eliminator (XCE) discipline. The competitions take place in the categories men and women, drivers are eligible to start from the age of 17 years. The world champions in the cross-country eliminator were first determined in 2012 as part of the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships. In 2017 and 2018, the World Championships were part of the UCI Urban Cycling World Championships. After the races in 2018 could only take place after an exceptional approval by the jury due to too few participants, the Eliminator was removed from the program. Since 2019 they have been an independent event in the UCI racing calendar.
